Let's celebrate Earth day, Every day

I have written a lot of blogs around saving the environment, recycling and individually what we can do to safeguard environment interest. This blog is something new, it comes from a thought, a deep one actually. When we see our role models saying something, we immediately trust it, but when a scientist tells us about climate change and its harmful effects, we  switch on some other channel. I want to ask, Why?
The reasons are simple that the role model is attractive and he is what we wish to become. Right, but what about the unique identity we have, that is what we are loosing. No star or personality will tell you about what we should do for our mother Earth. We need to understand support it as we do for our mother when she is sick, we have to take care of it as our mother has done.Every individual is different in their own way and they have some different connection with nature.

Like, let us take my example, there is a tree behind my house and whenever I am sad or happy, I look to that tree and express my emotions. One friend of mine nurtures a plant and takes care of it as if that plant is her best friend. All, I want to say it that nature and its components have given us a lot, they have cared for us, given us our existence. Now, it's our turn, not to return back the love but to love unconditionally. Love the components of nature around you, plant a tree, name it and give it your love and you will see that this plant will blossom like anything. Build your own birdhouse in your small balcony and see the birds will talk to you and you will feel awesome. This may sound repeated but I love to say it, Let's fulfill our individual role and make a difference and Let's celebrate Earth Day, Every Day!
With this thought, I want to thank you all for reading my blog and I hope that you all will like it.

Ever thought of being different and gifting yourself a special present?

A loving human being gets only love in return. Yes, this quote is true and my personal favourite as if we give love and nourishment to our plants and nature, they give us all the love back through living with us. Coexistence of both man and nature is very important and interestingly, it is interdependent. Nature takes care of us and we take care of nature that should be the ideal situation  as if this happens, both of them will be on the beneficial side and will be happier.
With this thought, I want to bring an idea out for all of you, when we think of birthdays or special days of our life, we love gifting each other some or the other beautiful present, but have we ever thought of gifting someone a life. Yep, that's what you read, so this special day gift your friends a plant and let's make it a practice to take care of it for one year. As it is said that, a plant needs just one year full care and nourishment and then it becomes self dependent.
So, make your and your friend's birthday this year even more special by gifting a plant and holding a responsibility of caring it.

Let's use our kitchen waste in the right way

In my previous blog, I promised you all that I will disclose super easy and simple way of making composite so here I am. Composting food scraps at home is really important because these vegetable waste, tea bags, etc are rich in nutrients. These nutrients add life to soil and make it fertile. It is said that more than half of what we dump into the waste bins can be composted. Sadly, many of us don't know much about it. By making compost, we can actually help our environment and fulfill our own individual responsibility towards nature as then there will be no landfills polluting land, no waste polluting water bodies and diseases coming our way.
For doing composing, we need to keep these four things in mind-
1. Proper oxygen should reach the composite.
2. Regular watering is really important.
3. Vegetable waste, coffee grounds should be added as they give nitrogen to the soil.
4. Carbon is also important for making compost which comes from dried leaves or paper

These are the golden things we need to keep in our minds to make ideal composite. For the whole process, stay tuned to my blogs.

Let's join hands for a cleaner and a better Delhi

Delhi, the most unique and the most beautiful city of the world, yep I am a true delhilite that is why I love Delhi. This place is just amazing but with all this beauty that we as delhilites love comes some duties that we should follow. This is  true that Delhi is been gifted with so many beautiful destinations that make Delhi, a tourist attraction but we need to keep Delhi neat and clean as after all its our Delhi and our city's problem is our problem that we need to solve.

Problem of garbage is one of the major problems that Delhi and environment is facing. This is true that government have taken a lot of initiatives to make people aware of the segregation process and using a dustbin but what we as individuals can do to safeguard clean Delhi and as a whole clean our environment idea is what the real question is? It is said that Delhi alone generates 1800  metric tonnes waste out of which 50% can be recycled. So, how do we do that, the answer is simple by segregating first and then making composite. After we have segregated we make the jobs of waste pickers, also making composite is super easy and very effective. To understand how actually we can make composite in a super easy manner you have to stay tuned for my next blog.
Till then let's segregate our dry and wet waste for a better tomorrow.

A Green office

Have you ever heard of an office which is decorated with waste materials? Yes, you read it right, there is an office in the heart of Delhi- Khirki Extension named swechha. This is a youth-led organization which is dedicated to enabling ourselves and others around them to 'Be The Change', in making visible difference to the environment- both physical and social.
When, I visited this organisation, I was mesmerised with the decorations from a Shandler to the work space division everything was made out of recycled material. They have also set up a butterfly garden with planting plants inside tyres and other waste material. Swechha, believes that everything that is thrown by us as waste can be recycled. They are one of its kind organisation that has uniquely designed office. They have recycled tires, empty cans, tetra packs, seat belts, seats of a car. They are known for not only recycling, they recreate something really unimagined and unique that we have not seen. This organisation conducts workshops so that they can aware people about various ways of recycling and also has so many programmes that have saved the environment on a large scale. They started off with the Yamuna Yatra in which they tired to show the people how man has polluted the yamuna river by industrial waste and different types of pollutants. This Yamuna Yatra was a big success and now swechha has so many such initiatives like Green the Map, Monsoon wooding plantation. This organisation strongly motivates people that they can do a lot as their part of saving the environment by recycling their waste. This office is an big inspiration and a must visit
As we all know that Delhi only generate 8,000 centric metre of waste so we need to understand our individual responsibility towards our environment.

Let's create something out of waste- A small effort to recycle a plastic box

Hello Everyone,
So this is my first Vlog. I have written many blogs around environment and what can we do individually. This Vlog will tell you all about super easy way to use a waste plastic box and some foams and transform them into a beautiful jewellery box. Many times we  throw plastic boxes and other type of boxes but rather than throwing them we can build something really different out of it.
Hope you all will like it.
